He should and there are no allegations that he used Steroids, However the whole era is tainted and there is a chance that not one player from the 1995 to 2008 era will ever get in.

Would make it in today if he retired. Has some pop in his bat, and hits for high average. Once he gets 3,000 hits hes a lock.

I would vote him in today. He does everrything right in my book, but some writers may not give him credit for what he has achieved (which consists of setting many YANKEE records, winning his share of rings) and that, in the long run, may hurt his first ballot chances.

If Jeter played anywhere else but in the Bronx, he would be a great player but not the legend that he is. He has been one of the better players in the game for a long time now, and seems to always be on the field and always making plays. He will end up as the 1st Yankee to reach 3,000 hits, and it will be argued if he is the best Yankee ever. His reputation as a winner and good guy, along with his stellar play will easily make him a first ballot Hall of Famer.

A great leader and clutch player with a few rings on his fingers. Here's the clincher: he's a career-long Yankee, and the HOF voting has a strong East Coast influence. He's a slam dunk. If he were a Marlin, Diamondback, or Angel (all with rings), his admittance would not be a sure thing.

Likeable guy, fan favorite, been popular for years.

He'll be a first ballot EASY. Funny, because he's probably the most overrated player in major league history, but he's still a definite hall of famer. By the timne he's through he'll have 3,000 hits and 1500 runs scored, and now they're even giving him gold gloves. Even if he retiored now because of an injury or something he'd still get in.

I think he'll go in, his good career boosted by the relentless media onslaught of playing for the Yankees. Don't see a first ballot though, unless the pinstriped ogres rip off four or five more series titles before he hangs it up.
