Good solid stats, especially the 3,000 hits but he will be hurt by playing his entire career in Houston and largely out of the media spotlight. He'll go in, but it may not be on the first ballot. Which is unfortunate, because he deserves to be.

There should be no question about his credentials. He had 3,000 hits and was a perennial All Star. The greatest NL second baseman after Sandberg's prime, therefore, the best from the early 90's until the middle of this decade. He could hit, hit for power, field, and run. Jeff Kent was his closest rival, and there were a few years where Kent was better but aside from hitting for power, Biggio was clearly the better all around player. He is one of the top 5-7 second basemen in history. It's all the more remarkable because Biggio was a converted catcher, and actually began in the big leagues behind the plate.

A guy who did everything right and played all over the field. He has certain (what I mean is not the classic) numbers to get in. Plus long gevity.

He plays/played hard! Has well over 1000, runs and RBI's, over 400 stolen bases, over 600 doubles, over 250 homerunes and this year finally notched his 3000 hit!! Playing his ENTIRE career with the same team (Astros). He should be a first ballot lock! All that and he's was still pretty underrated through out his career.

Possibly the best multi-position player ever. He will probably reach the 3,000 hit mark, and that's automatic admission to the HOF. At 40, he's still an above average player.

He's a sentimental favorite to the American public, should be a first ballot. If not, it's a shame. Gives 100% every day.

I think he has a chance going in and I hope he will but he hasnt had the dominence of a hall of famer. He was one of the best 2nd basemen of all time and a solid hitter but he hasnt done anything spectacular except get a large amount of hits. I do think he will go in but not on his 1st ballot.

I'm bias but I think that Biggio will get in the Hall of Fame no doubt since he is one of the Greatest second basemen ever.

He is in the same boat as Bagwell. He should make it, and some consideration should be given to the fact that he was loyal to his team and fans and stuck it out at Houston.

Biggio might get closer to a lock if he can get to 3,000 hits. He has been a great player his whole career, and he is one of those players who truly represents an organization. He is to the Astros what Ripken and Gwynn were to the Orioles and Padres.
