I think he should make it. He didn't just hit the ball out of the park at a great pace, he hit for great average also. Long gevity.

Frank's certainly had injury problems and some subpar years, but he recovered nicely last year with Oakland. Thomas was always slow and a below average fielder, but some people forget how devastating a presence at the plate he was in his prime- with lots of power, high averages, and great patience with astounding walk totals for the White Sox. I'd be very, very surprised if he doesn't get in.

If he goes 1st ballot, it's because of the Chicago writers influence. I'd like to see him go in because that means Jeff Bagwell will make it in as well. Thomas has been on the downside for a while now, and I do think he is a borderline choice.

Injuries may hurt him from becoming a first ballot inductee, but he's still Frank Thomas.

Frank Thomas is a great player and can still get the job done though he has slowed down the past few seasons. Hes a two time AL MVP and now has a worldseries ring. He has had a babyish attitude a few times in his career but deserves to be in the hall of fame for what he has done for himself and for his team. Hes had 10 100 rbi seasons and leads the whitesox franchise in rbis and homeruns. Of course he will go in the hall of fame. He has done every single thing that makes a hall of fame career and has had fun doing it.

He will go in but it will take three or more ballots. While his numbers are solid, he is seen as one dimensional, and has been hampered by playing on out of contention teams for much of his career.

Frank Thomas has been hurt by the fact that he has struggled to stay healthy towards the end of his career. However, he was the dominant first baseman of his generation. Unfortunately for him he didn't have the staggering career numbers that seem to be so important for the Hall of Fame. However, some of his single season results are so impressive that he definitely warrants be in Cooperstown.
