Update: Buerhle might be an interesting argument for the Hall one day. He has never been the best pitcher in baseball, but he looks like he is going to be one of those guys who compiles great career stats because of his consistency. Since 2001 he has never started less than 30 games or finished with less than double digit wins. At 8-2 so far in 2009, he looks to be having another great season. If he stays consistent until age 40, than his career stats will look very impressive.

7/31/2006 - He has had a great career up until this point, but he has looked awful lately. Hopefully for him he is just having a slump in his career, and he isn't losing his edge as one of the best picthers in baseball.

2005 was his first really good year, and I doubt he can keep it up.

Part of a new dynasty on the South Side. Buerhle is extremely effective, very consistent, but doesn't blow you away with stats or amazing stuff. Still a question mark.

Highly unlikely. A very solid, consistent pitcher- one every single team in the majors could use- but he would have to start putting up lots of wins for one thing. He'd have to make the leap from very good to really great in a hurry for me to see him having a realistic shot.

Way too early to tell. Only six years in the show, his numbers are good but not spectacular. He has a long way to go and a lot to prove before he's going to the Hall.
