She took over after Rowland was forced out. She has had very high ratings and is a strong candidate for re-election.
She had breast cancer with a mastectomy and drew a lot of sympathy.

Congratualtions goes to the REPUBLICAN governor of Connecticut, Mr. Rell, on signing a civil unions bill into law earlier today. Connecticut is now the 2nd state in the nation where gays have equal rights while still upholding marriage as man and woman. 48 states to go.

Far too early to tell, but Rell seems to be leading Connecticut smoothly after the resignation of Rowland. The next legislative session will put to test Rell's true abilities as a governor.

Anyone would be better for that state than John Lowland the crook.
