oh ya sean may is just the slowest player besides Yao ming in the nba and hes only 6'8, Lebron James is that size and will own him, he has no ability to play in the NBA, he will not score and he doesnt posses any shooting ability to go beyond the key. He cant play defense either, so i think he mite play bench forward. HE Sucks!!!

come on carolina32! you are a joke "At least I know that I can grade farely and I can admit when someone is good or not!" you are a disgrace saying JJ Redick is sorry.

Sean May is one of the best Centers, and will surely be GOOD in the NBA! I dont care if you dont agree with me. At least I know that I can grade farely and I can admit when someone is good or not!

'Fanatic', Sean wasn't named ACC player of the year. Although he would've been if the votes din't have to be turned in by late January. However, he did just two days ago get named ACC ATHLETE of the year, which in my opinion is much more impressive because basically that means he got All Around Best Sports Star in the whole ACC. Football, baseball, tennis, rugby, whatever. That means he's not only the best basketball player in the ACC, but the best EVERYTHING in the ACC. I'll take that because if he got hoops player of the year, he probably wouldn't have gotten that honor that only the greatest of athletes like Peppers and Hamm have gotten- 'ACC Athlete of the Year'. Plus, he just got named NBA Summer League MVP. 7 players made the summer League All Star team. 3 were from the Bobcats- Felton, Carrol, and May. No Deron Williams or Paul - what a shocker!- lol! I think May averaged almost 20 and 10 despite playing only 2 minutes of one the games. I know, I know, I'm as shocked as you are.............A Carolina guy doing well in the NBA???????...............No!, it couldn't be true! HA HA! How stupid do the Lakers and Raptors feel right now?- Villanueva and Bynum?! Thank God, Bickerstaff and Johnson have some sense. And WHATTA YA KNOW! - after all that talk about Felton being the third best point guard in the draft............. this is a quote from the New York Times, It's early, but so far, Raymond Felton's game seems better suited for the NBA than Deron Williams and Chris Paul's. WHAT A SHOCKER! Who would've thought? A Tarheel better for the NBA than a Wake or Illinois guy?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!? Seriously though, I'd draft a Carolina guy over ANYBODY................even if I hadn't seem him play. In other words, I'd bet my life people will struggle to remember who Bogut is while May is being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Remember I said that, because it is sooooooo going to come true . Wait and see. I just knocked on wood. Sean May sucks....... ......wink wink.

His post presense (thats one word I have trouble spelling) is phenominal! He's putting up double doubles, week after week like nobody's business. Personally, I think that whole starting junior squad should have their jersies retired... I find it so funny that all these newscasters on national TV call him by his dad's name; Scott. It just goes to show you, like father, like son. MAD PROPS TO SEAN FOR BEING NAMED THE ACC PLAYER OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Duke fan and I gotta give him some credit he's a big presence for the north carolina offence and defence. great hands nice touch and tuff on the boards but lack of height and lack of coaching will catch up to him. Roy Williams is a great recruiting coach but a sub par in-game coach.
louiethe20th 04/06/2005
Great hands and a dominating presence inside. Also shoots outside extremely well for a center. His lack of height will hurt him some at the next level, but he will be a good power forward.
bbutler76 04/05/2005
A very good college player. He made the difference in the tournament and easily was the tournament mvp. However, Felton will be a much better pro then May. May is a little on the slow side and his height has been listed anywhere from 6'7 to 6'9. This won't cut it in the nba playing power forward. A late first round selection at best and I really don't see him as more than a role player in the nba.

ONE of the best centers in carolina history... his tattoo says it all i can... he can do AnYtHiNg! he conditioned alot last summer and it's really paid off... glad he's comin back his senior year and he WILL get his jersey in the rafters!! oh yeah, and his name isn't SCOTT!!! UPDATE! Ahh!! my baby did great against maryland! who swept maryland? that's right.. CAROLINA! way to go sean... 22 pts & 11 rebs UPDATE! career high 32 pts against FSU... and 12 rebs. also named ALL-AMERICA! UPDATE:::: yes unc4me07 is right.. sean is better then sheldon... he should def. be the ACC player of the year... and everyone who thinks it should be J.J. should look at how much talent Sean has. All J.J can do is score.. not that thats a bad thing.. but that aint the only thing that matters.. u need to be able to DEFEND! J.J. bein a top choice for ACC player of the year is the biggest piece of crock i've ever heard... the 13 ppl who thought Sean shouldnt have been on the all acc team needa try actually WATCHIN him play... UPDATE: Wooden Award finalist! well deserved, and kklove his name is SHELDON not SHELTON, if you're gunna talk all great about him, spell his name right UPDATE: MVP of the Tournament... he's the best player in AMERICA... and if you don't think so, you don't watch college basketball... I'm so proud of him for comin back his senior year and get'n his degree... This afternoon he was on tv sayin We didnt have to worry about him not comin back next year, bc that aint gone happen... He's going to do everything he can to get his teammates to comeback also... Way to go Sean! Congrats...

Sean May is an all around fabulous player! His presence in the paint is undeniable. He has impecable scoring abilities against some of the biggest players in college basketball. He has uncontested might in bringing down and maintaining the rebounds. But he also has the smarts to diversify. He is an amazing player! He has worked so hard to improve his game and be where he is today. He most definately deserves all the praise and alcolades everyone has been giving him. And as for the comment from ems4duke: I guess that last Carolina-Duke game proved who was better between Sean May and Shelden Williams. With 26 points and an unheard of 24 rebounds, the undeniable winner is Sean May... probably the best center in the NCAA. Anyone who doubts that Sean May is better than Sheldon Williams should check out this picture at ESPN.com: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/photos?photoId=701634 &gameId=250650153

anyone of the three-headed monster at UNC is hopeless with out the other two if they all get drafted together they can keep it up but if not they are screwed. JJ Redick can do it alone with his unstoppable 3-point shot
kklove 03/23/2005
over rated do not like him big baby!!! shelton williams much better and does not get nearly the recognition that may gets and does not deserve!!!!
ems4duke 03/06/2005
whoah whoah whoah..way too many five-star ratings here. sean may is a very very good player, without a doubt. he has made so much improvement this year. he probably has one of the best, if not the best pair of hands in the ACC or even the nation. i'm a HUGE duke fan, though, so naturally i can't go praising him all that much. it's tough to say who is better between him and shelden williams, because they only get to play eachother twice in the regular season...but i will say, reluctantly, that sean may is better at holding onto the ball than shelden is. but shelden is an amazing shot blocker, rebounder, and he is obviously a great scorer. whatever happens today at carolina, i still have to say that SHELDEN WILLIAMS is better overall.

Just realized some didn't find me SARCASTICALLY! calling Sean fat funny. I love Sean. Great low post scorer. Perhaps only matched by Marvin Williams as a rebounder in the conference. And he is running the floor as well, if not better than anyone on the team. I see Luke Schensher in particular, not enjoying that aspect of the Carolina - GA Tech game. He looks like a giraffe running in slow motion.
wut-in-TARnation 12/01/2004
Great player - great person. And so consistent. When Sean takes the floor, Roy knows he's probably getting 18 and 10, give or take a couple. And we don't care about any damn Rolls Royce team or any of that crap - it's obvious who the best big man is. Certainly ol' Carrot Top at GA Tech has nothing for him.
NotBlind 11/09/2004
Best big man in America. Slimming down over the summer will make him even better. Guess what Heel faithful, he already vowed to be back for his senior year!
Targantuan 10/25/2004
Good scorer. Dominant rebounder. Superglue hands. From Indiana. Father played for the Hoosiers- he came to Carolina- ballsy kid.
ourtobaccoroad 09/26/2004
Ya know what's hilarious? ......haters call him a fat ass. Soooooo, basically you are saying your team can't contain a fat ass? Seriously, he is unstoppable down low, so your team can't stop a fat ass? Keep up the good work next Barkley, oh, I mean SEAN!
#1alumniandgro wing 09/25/2004
Most dominant 'back to the basket' player college ball has seen in years. Dooky V not putting him on any of his all rolls royce teams is ludicris. Plus, he led the junior olympic team this summer in ALL categories. At least the sporting news has sense enough to rank him the preseason #1 big man in America.
