The typical great guitar from Jeff Beck, and lonely sounding plaintive vocals from Keith Relf, who is considered by some critics to be talent wise the worst singer of the major British Invasion bands. I think that view is nonsense, he may indeed not have been as good as, say, Eric Burdon or McCartney, but he was a very effective singer, and perfect for this outfit. This was one of their biggest hits, and it sounds a little bit like what one might hear in a Western flick.
