It's his life. Football is a sport, a profession, way to have fun. He quit on his team. I think he made a mistake and he says he didn't. I wish he never did weed but once people do they tend to think it wasn't a mistake even though almost everyone else knows it was. Still, the dude is bright for a professional athlete. Most athletes tend to either be only academically smart or of average intelligence, a few of them can be dirt-trash stupid. Some peoples minds don't respond well to drugs and Ricky is one of them, I wish he could see that. His teamaters tend to like Ricky, people that are around him tend to like him, but after what he did to his team-mates he can never really be the same man in a Miami locker room. Running back isn't a position for 30+ years. But like I said, it's his life, he isn't a weird guy. If he was an actor you'd all be watching his films. The media has an attitude towards guys like him and Chad Johnson and Randy Moss and I'm sick of it, they all just want to have fun. Romo can't even be around Simpson without everyone making a fuss like they're reporters for a preteen girl magazine. YOU'RE SPORTS REPORTERS (nobodies listening). There's better ways to deal with whatevers going on upstairs than weed, better ways than even yoga, and he's got those tools and most don't. The media is getting more ridiculous every year, and Ricky has a bizarre problem dealing with it. Leave him alone.

This guy was one of the most talented running backs in the NFL. If he would rather go smoke a bag of gonja than show case his mad skill, than I think it should be up to him to choose.

The Nfl did lose a great talent here. But I also think this fella has issues. Hes quoted as saying I did not quit the NFL because I smoked pot, I smoked pot because I was leaving the NFL. Is this supposed to make us think he is a man with character? Im not one to down a person for smoking a little gunji, lord knows Ive had my share, but somewhere between his issues and or his lack of desire brought on by his satisfaction with his wealth at this point I think, he has quit. I have never had much regard for those who quit something before its finished. I hope hes doing what s right for himself.

No man will fill the hole he left in that roster, but you do what you need to do.
