Turned it on down the stretch after a bad start. He has had some excellent seasons, but in terms of making it to the Hall, he would probably benefit from a change of scenery. He is the only really good and reliable starter that Houston has. The Astros, right now, are one of those teams with a huge gap between their good to great players and everybody else. I would probably pick them for 4th or 5th in their division, and I have a hard time seeing Oswalt, who is in his early 30's, accumulating Cooperstown types of numbers for the club, which seems to be stuck on a treadmill. There's enough talent to keep them from going 65-97 or something, but not enough balance to be a playoff caliber club

Way to early. Though, it is not likely that he will reach 300 wins. He has 129 and is 30 years old. He has to stay healthy and throw at a very high level for a few more years.

Great beginning to his career, but he'll need to do this for at least five more seasons. At least he's moving from "borderline" to "strong hall of famer".

Don't think he'd make it right now.

Way too early to tell.

One of the best pitchers today. Update he starts 3rd in the rotation for the Astros behind Clemens and Pettitte but he could start in the first spot any where else. He gained national attention when he beat the Cards to take the 'Stros to the World Series

Roy Oswalt has a great winning percentage, and has posted 20 win seasons in each of his last two years. His lifetime era is 3.07 through six seasons. If he is able to keep that type of performance up over the next decade, he will very likely be a Hall of Famer someday.
