 | Aphrodite_pink (0) 08/28/2005 | I don't think this is a pompous word. If being used in a context like this 'and then I enunciated '....blah, blah and blah'' perhaps, but usually no, I don't find the use of this word pompous.

 | mattg (0) 07/10/2005 | To make a formal statement of OR to make distinctly audible (both 1913 Webster). I think it's a useful word that's not uncommon (though it doesn't have too many convesational uses).
