Today is September 26. On this date in history, Seoul, South Korea, was retaken from the invading North Korean forces who had taken the city in the first rush of the Korean War in the Summer of 1950. In this remarkable war, it fell two more times. The Chinese took it and it was re-conquered again by the UN.
