Extraordinarily powerful puncher, but possibly the worst fighter on this list.   Sent his punches by Western Union, he telegraphed them so far in advance, and in most of his fights didn't look like he had any business in the ring against top professionals.

He certainly deserved credit for extending an aging Hagler, which may have cost Marvellous Marvin in his final fight against Leonard.

Not much of a boxer, but a devastating puncher. Some fight fans believe he may have ruined Hagler's chances against Ray Leonard by taking Marvin to the brink in their fight...I happen to be one of those fans.

Yeah,he could hit;but I still can't understand why he was as succesful as he was against pro competition. He absolutely telegraphed every punch.Hagler fought him after Hearns-and I think Mugabi's being able to extend Hagler was a sign to Ray Leonard that Hagler was slipping.Duane Thomas(shot to death in Detroit in some kind of crazy robbery or drug deal) from Detroit's Kronk gym stopped him for the 154 lb. title in a very workman-like pro performance, which should've happened sooner.
