I felt a bit of sadness when I heard of her death.She was important because i think she showed that anyone can make a difference. Rosa Parks was a shy quiet woman, One day she got tired of being pushed around and took a stand. She proved that one person standing up to what is wrong can help change things.good for her and RIP Mrs. Parks.

Although I respect her contribution to the history of civil rights, specific to black Americans, I don't view her passing as particularly significant. There have been numerous events more significant, her overdone, overblown funeral services notwithstanding.
