Truly an inspired songwriter and the popularity of Styx and his solo work atest to this. He has also written a musical "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" that is phenominal. He needs to be recognized in this elite company.

The National Academy of Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame is the organization dedicated to recognizing and honoring the accomplishments and lives of those men and women who create the popular songs that serve as the soundtrack of our lives. Lady, Suite Madame Blue, Come Sail Away, Rockin' the Paradise, The Best of Times, Show Me the Way, Desert Moon...that's some soundtrack. Not many more deserving than Dennis DeYoung. Shawnfeb

Dennis DeYoung deserves this honor!

I am really surprised that Dennis DeYoung has not already been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.For over 30 years he has proven his worth by bringing us so many inspirational songs. And if his singing and songwriting skills weren't enough, he consistantly shows us the core of his moral fiber, by supporting PBS, raising funds for charity organizations, and being a great dad as well as a loving husband for 35 yrs. I think Dennis DeYoung deserves his day.

GREAT songwriter. And has a beautiful voice to sing his songs!
