This is another one of those rules that apply remarkably well to real life as well. But yeah, when you're stuck in the creepy forest and two of your friends have disappeared under mysterious cicumstances, that's probably not the best time to split up.

Normally starts when some wise guy suggests, Hey, let's split up. We'll cover more ground that way. We'll also expend more lives that way, but if you really think it's a good idea...
