I have never understood this in movies. If you see someone carrying a chainsaw that is running and the operator of said saw is not working as a lumberjack or on a tree-trimming detail, then you should run and run fast!

Actually, I try and stay away from people with those kind of objects anyway....this seems more like a real life rule than a movie rule.
