05/23/2008 | this could be men as well.I know of both women or men who do not like dogs. I am a female and I love dogs. thank goodness my husband also likes dogs. we have had a dog all of our married life{26 years and going}for me I guess there is some importance to having my spouse love animals.I guess I would not shun someone who hated dogs, but I would wonder why not?I hate to say this but a lot of the people I know who hate dogs,cats, or pets in general are also really picky about a lot of other things.

05/22/2008 | Any woman who can't stand dogs is the perfect choice for me !!! Actually, it is women who are pushing this canine culture on men because they think dogs are cute. Dogs can be useful, but what man can stand these "gay little dogs" that are too sissified. I can do without these loud, unsanitary beast.

05/22/2008 | I basically don't trust any person who can't muster up some feeling for dogs or any other animal for that matter. Among other things, having this trait reveals an ability to care for something beyond yourself - which is basic to any meaningful relationship. So, while you shouldn't rely on this alone it would be one valid way to decide if you are going to want a relationship with someone.

05/22/2008 | Well, it the woman marries the men, and the man marries the woman. No man should impose condition to marry a woman, and no woman should impose conditions to marry a man. A woman who doesn't like dogs is no less woman that one who likes dogs. And vice versa. This is a childish argument.

12/01/2005 | I don't know if I would agree with this. But there is one thing I have noticed. Any woman who hates animals period is not a good choice for men. Because I've noticed that women tend to love animals more then most men do. It is their instinct to be nurturing. But there is something wrong with a woman who hates animals (well maybe not, but it's just been my experience). She doesn't have that nurturing, loving instinct and most women who hate animals are not good natured people.

11/12/2005 | I don't think gender has much to do with this. I tend not to get along as much with people who don't like animals in general. I've seen plenty of relationships, where neither partner likes animals, that work out wonderfully, though.

11/11/2005 | I truly believe this. In my experience the women who were like this were persnickety anal types who could not stand to clean up a mess or ever get dirty. The kind that dont go to the beach because they dont like getting sand on themselves! Wont pet an animal because of germs or somthing...You guys know the type. If you dont like mans best friend, you probably wont be able to relate too well to typical men.
