I agree with Stolypin on this one, the treatment this man has received from the "black" party has been unreal. The President of the NAACP in florida has changed to Republicans. People are finally seeing through the foggy mirror known as the new liberal Democratic party. This is not your father's Democrats folks!

Steele is Lieutenant Governor in a democratic state. As a black republican, he might be able to garner both the black vote as well as the Republican vote. He has to be careful though not to alienate either one of those voting blocks, because the black population has shown with Condoleeza Rice, that they won't stick up for just any black person.

While there are bigots in both national parties, anyone doubting which party's elite establishment is the true racist bigots needs only to look at the treatment Steele has received since announcing his '06 candiacy for the Senate.
