Won't happen. I don't think he could convince Southerners that he has some conservative traditional beliefs. Regardless of color, a liberal Southern Democrat can't win a general election for now.

I believe that Gore actually considered the Congressman from Memphis for the Democratic ticket in 2000. The only hindrance at the time was his young age. He'd be an interesting candidate. Moderate Southern Democrats usually perform well nationally, especially on the Democratic ticket. He is running for the Senate in 2006. Depending on who the Republicans field in that race, he might have a good chance at winning that race. Should he pass that test, expect bigger things from him.

Will probably lose the Senate race in Tennessee, is too conservative for the Democratic primary. If he were white or honest with himself, he would be a Republican.
