 | irishgit (138) 05/22/2008 | Maybe in some cases, but after two kids my ex- looked pretty good, while her mother did, and does look like someone with a peg leg should be hunting her down on a whaling ship.

 | Gentle Jude (23) 11/23/2005 | Since the mother and daughter usually look different, you can't really make that judgment, especially since each child has genes from both parents. Plus, I don't judge a woman by her looks, and I actually don't mind a bit of weight on a woman, not that mothers are fat!

 | minkey (36) 11/16/2005 | My Dad was big on this one, and he made it clear that it's not only looks but personality that carry over to the next generation of females. From my research it's pretty legit. A monkey wrench that can be thrown into the equation is when a mother has 2 or more daughters - personalities tend to differ.

 | Mr.Political (18) 11/15/2005 | It might provide you with an idea as to how "your woman" was raised and can even help you understand why she acts the way she does (though the same principal applies for men). However, the quality of life for a child depends not simply on the personality of your wife's mother. Rather, it relies on the responsibility of both parents.

 | EschewObfuscation (61) 11/15/2005 | Ah, sure, young man, you can probably expect that this is somewhat true. Keep in mind, though, that you might look slightly different, too, when you reach her Mom's age.

 | kamylienne (77) 11/15/2005 | (I'm a little confused about the question; I'd say it's safe to assume that "loof" is supposed to be "look", but why is it specified that there are "two kids"? Is the number of children relevant? I'll just assume that it's not. And does it mean "look after" as in "watch over", or does the question refer to the appearance of the woman post-pregnancy?)
Not necessarily (in either case above).
I've met too many women who, despite having wonderful and loving mothers, have been irresponsible mothers to their children. I know of a lot of kids who are raised by their grandparents because their parents were unable or were too irresponsible (either can be the case) to raise them by themselves.
Then, if we're talking about appearance here, then it's still not necessarily true. Some women take more physical attributes from the father's side of the family. Like mine.
