I'm sorry, but Mayor Nagin is not a leader.

Watching Nagin melt down was funny and bizarre. (anyone remember Jim Mora's "Playoffs?" speech?) I can't wait for his next news conference- put a mike in front of this guy and just laugh away. . .we have found the Black Dan Quayle. ..

Late white actor Ray Bolger, the Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz, would have a better shot at becoming our first black president.

Didn' come out of NO mess looking so well. A tough situation, but I thought he should have handled himself publicly a little bit better.

Right now, this guy would have trouble getting out of the blocks in any primary. I don't see it getting better for him.

Never happen.

I definitely wouldn't want to see this guy react to a national crisis, that's for sure.

I think the fear with this candidate would be that he could do everything for the U.S. that he's done for New Orleans.

Can't even run a city, let alone an entire country.

A political opportunist, he was a Republican until 2002 when he switch parties to run for mayor, and later backed John Kerry. But he also supported Republican Jindal over Democrat Blanco in governors races, leading to a personal conflict between he and the governor which made the crisis after Katrina much worse than it could have been. Not to mention how he acted like an ass in all of his interviews. Still, he entered office as an anti-corruption reformer, but no one can tame the beast that is Louisiana politics. Chances of further political office in any other state would be zero, but in Louisiana, you never know.
