That might be too many, but I like the idea. It's gotta be an even numbers go with a contraction of two. Tampa Bay Devil Rays definitely and one other team.....Pirates? Padres? Nationals? Probably Florida Marlins. Someone pick a team.

The only team I feel should truly be contracted is the Devil Rays. They have no history of winning and no fan base. Also, while contracting teams would improve the level of talent at the Major League level, I fail to see how it would fix the game.

If a team can't compete financially, shut it down just like in the real world. If a company continually runs in the red, they declare bankruptcy or close their doors. Why should baseball be any different.
