There are two teams in NYC - no need to add a team in Jersey or LI. The option here would be to move the Mets - there is no way the Yankees are going anywhere. And to move the Mets would anger a lot of people, just to make a comparative handful of Long Islanders or Jersey's happy. Wildly unlikely.

Maybe its a function of where I live, but I don't see the "monopoly" I'm more likely to see Cubs, Dodgers, Mariners or Braves games on the tube as I am to see Yankees or Mets.
