America would dominate. American studs who are injured, washed up, aka simply not good enough, go to Japan to improve their game. The Olympics are in place for world pride.

At this point in history, this would be a total mis-match. I don't see that changing in the near to medium future.

What would be the point? The best Japanese players are already here or preparing to come over. This would be like the World Series champion playing the Triple AAA champion. Even 6 or 7 years ago this would have been at least an interesting idea. Post Matsui-Ichiro-and a bunch of others, however, this is no longer the case. For MLB officionados: Keep on the lookout for a pitcher by the name of Daisuke Matsuzaka. I saw him pitch a couple of games in Saitama Prefecture. This guy is the real deal and he'll be over here in the next season or two.
