In their early days, up until the early 70's a lot of people thought they were a bad influence on society- but a lot of those people said that, then got bombed on screwdrivers and subsequently went home and fought with their spouses and played Ray Conniff records anyway. I still get a kick out of a story from early in their career where several of the Stones were not allowed to use the restroom at a British gas station, so they got into trouble when they pissed on the side of it.
