Quote:"How odd that God would choose the Jews, but odder still are those who choose the Jewish God and spurn the Jews."The Jewish culture is one that embraces wisdom, learning, families and philosophy. I think that it helps very much to have them in our society.Joke:Put 5 Jews in a room, you'll get 6 different opinions.

As a group, no better or worse than any other. I do wonder, however, why they are the only racial or ethnic group on this list...

I agree with Sharon, Jews or no Jews, but still people. Person should be judged by his attitude and personality, not culture or religion.

I don't see how they could help or hurt society. They are just people like everybody else.

Jesus: King of the Jews. My Lord and Savior.

Why, out of all mankind, are Jews being singled out as questionably "hurtful" or "helpful?" Obviously they get a '5'... as would any other group.

I'm mostly just giving a five, because according to the stats a lot of anti-Semites have given ones. but here are some reasons why Jewish culture, traditions, etc. have been good: 1. If you're a Christian, you believe that Jesus came from the Jews. That's pretty good. 2. Judeo-Christian ethics are a major foundation of Western philosophy (even apart from the religious aspect). The Torah contains a very strong moral message of social justice, brotherly love, and doing right that has helped shape our culture for the better. This is probably the biggest reason. Without Judeaism we wouldn't have the world of Christendom - regardless of your feelings on religion, it's contributed vastly to our culture and in a lot of good ways. 3. Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist 4. 19th century Jewish immigrants to Palestine were responsible for the first printing press, modern hospitals, public school systems, and democratic government in the Middle East. They disseminated learning, provided employment for the indigenous population, and turned arid wasteland into fertile farms. (No they didn't just show up and kick out the Palestinians in 1947, they had been there legally for over fifty years.)

Wha? Well, the food isn't very good- other than that, no danger. . .

As an entire group? No. Like any other ethnic group there are those that will hurt and those that will help.
