not into the dominatrix type thing

This would fall into a class of sexy paraphenalia that nobody really owns unless they are a serious collector of fetish wear but everyone still thinks is pretty hot, just like a Merry Widow or French Maid costume.  But I wonder if it would really be that much of a turn on to get involved in a romantic wrestling match with someone who is wearing something this bulky and restrictive.  Stockings and sexy high heels produce the same effect for me, can be used during the day in the civilian world and don't take up as much space in the closet.  My wife's closet that is.

Ok, this review might jeopardize my long-standing membership in the "Resolutely Heterosexual Male" Club, not to mention my more recent membership in the "Creepy Old Guy" Club, but I've always been kind of indifferent to these.

Thigh-high stockings and stilletto heels, now, that's a entirely different thing.....

I'm not really a fan of these boots and I give kudos to any woman who has the guts to wear these down the street.  They practically scream "F*ck Me" - excuse the french.

Good point, Disgust.  If women dressed only for practicality we men would walk around limply in a world full of Annie Halls.  What WERE you ladies THINKING???  Enough of Feminist fashion, thank Gawd.  Taking it even further, if it were only for pragmatism, there'd be no jewelry; the undergarment shop of choice would be "Victoria's Boring Story," and the world would slide into oblivion because few were procreating... 

Yes, absolutely...extremely hot.  They may not be practical, but seriously, there are tons of things women wear that are not practical and used solely to look sexy...and Thigh Highs are one of those items.

  Thigh-highs have to be worn with a certain kind of skirt...if you don't want to look like you belong to the world's oldest profession. They work best with:

1.  long, slitted skirts: these have to be well-made and of good fabric. (Obviously, a long skirt without a slit defeats the whole purpose of wearing thigh highs!)

2. skirts with uneven hems.

However, they can work over pants only if the heel is thick or substantial enough. (Think Ralph Lauren, 2006).

I have to admit I bought a luscious pair of thigh hi's by Gianmarco Lorenzi on eBay about 2 years ago 'cos they were such a great bargain but have yet to wear them! (This is why ebay is dangerous...but that's a subject for another thread.)

I understand why guys might have rated this high, but thigh-highs aren't very practical. I like heeled boots, but certainly not with that sort of length to them.

A woman in boots can make me do some pretty dumb stuff...
