 | abichara (63) 02/02/2007 | Tell that to some of the folks up in Washington who are managing the Iraq War. The greatest mistake we made was never adjusting to the situation on the ground. Being that its Super Bowl weekend, I'll make a football analogy: you can't win a game if you stick to the original plan. You've got to adjust all your schemes to what your opponent is giving you, then move from there. In football, as in war (is there really much of a difference?) it's the same. You have to be ready to adjust as needs be. Sometimes leaders don't out of pride, because doing so might be an admission of failure, that things didn't turn out as planned. But in life, nothing rarely does, in love, war, and peace.
