One of the best unfiltered cigarettes out there. The extra long length makes it slightly better than Camels in my opinion. I only smoke these on an occasion. If the usual Marlboro reds aren't cutting it I will go for these. It's pretty classy to be smoking unfiltered cigarettes these days since they're so damn expensive. Both of my great grandmothers smoked Pall Malls back in the early twenties and all the way through to the 60's. Unfortunately that's about when they died of smoking related illnesses.

This was my #2 choice in the red king sized pack. What a great butt!

I smoked Luckies but if you have ever been a smoker, you know that your taste buds sometimes get tired of your usual brand and you would switch for a week or two. Then you could go back to your regular brand.

I worked in a grocery store in high school and Lucky Strikes were $2.29 for a carton of ten packs. Pall Malls were $2.39 a carton. Filters were $2.49 a carton.

Everybody smoked!

The only downside to these is the soft pack. They're pretty mild, king-sized, and burn pretty slow. And most people who ask you for a cigarette won't take one of these. Perfect smokes if you know a lot of habitual bums.

Cheaper than luckies or camels. However blander in taste overall they're good if you want to save a few bucks.

I tried these and they gave me a great buzz...I just felt guilty though because there was no filter...and all that cr4p is not filtered so I switched...but the price has it going for it....

I've smoked Pall Mall for over 40 yrs. What have they done to the tobacco? In the last six months have noticed the tobacco light goes out or the ash falls off like I'm burning sawdust or paper. Has the ratio been changed from ALL tobacco to 50 sawdust and 50 tobacco?

As once stated by Kurt Vonnegut, "A classy way to commit suicide". How quintessential.

This is my favorite brand and has been for many years - I know everyone has the brand they keep coming back to, and for me, this is it. It's a satisfying smoke - nice bite on inhale, slightly sweet and tangy on exhale, with a distinct flavor that's not cloying or lingering. Best of all, no filtery ashtray aftertaste. I'd put it in the same taste category as an unfiltered Lucky Strike, but with a less sweet taste and a bit more richness to the smoke. I'm not a heavy smoker, and don't condone chain smoking - but half a pack of these on a weekend is really a treat, especially with a bottle of Coke or a beer. I always pack them upside down really hard, so the tobacco doesn't get in my mouth and so I can puff on it a little harder. I usually take a good pull, let out most of the smoke, and inhale the last bit - keeps my head from spinning. These have been around over a hundred years and for good reason. It's not just our grandparents' brand - it really is a nice flavor, and really not super strong on tar and nicotine - 21mg and 1.4mg respectively. I always buy them from gas stations or convenience stores that get a lot of business - it's rare I get a stale pack, and if I do, I let them air out in a humid environment to smooth them out. Believe it or not, I started out on these - it's a real cigarette lover's "smoke". Smoke less and enjoy more!
