I am only giving limewire a singlle star because when you search for a song, there is this yellow bar that has the limewire icon on it that says if you don't see this sign in the quality collum, it is not a limewire communication. well, it also means that if it dosn't have it it is virus. so if someone could tell me differently that would be great.

Legality aside, it's hard to see what benefit this program has to anyone. eMule is better for anything I could think to use Limewire for and doesn't slow down your machine nearly as much.  In fact, I rarely discover free Mac software that causes major sluggishness these days, but this product does this like no other.

Not bad, the stored music in the library tends to screw up though, you cant surf the web and listen to music at the same time, it skips a lot.

Best file sharing ever!! Totally spyware and adware free. they have a free version check it out if you like buy the pro so they can continue to offer this excellent program adware free. You can get movies as soon as they come out on dvd, sometimes before. All music as soon as it is released or before. Mass games and programs, pretty much any program and keys u can want. But watch out if you are getting programs. Viruses are pretty much unheard of in music and video files, but in programs they are very prevalent(games, operating systems, all kinds of cool stuff). Heres a few suggestions for avoiding viruses: first off get a virus scan, mcafee and norton offer a free 90 day trial on their sites(do a google) second,back up all important files on your computer!! This is VERY important(you should already be doing this anyway),also never download a .exe file type. When you dowlnoad a program scan it before you open it. If its a .zip file scan it then extract then scan the files you extracted before you open it. These few measures should keep you pretty safe. BACK UP YOUR FILES ON A DISC!! Virus scans dont always catch everything, and they are always updating virus definitions so keep it up to date. Now if you are getting movies and video clips heres a few tips: .avi files (divx, Xvid) require you to have the Divx codec, this is easy to obtain from the Divx site (just google Divx) it's free, and when it asks you the folder to save it to just save it directly into windows media player folder and you'll be set (usually my computer/c/program files/windows media player) If you use a different player it should work the same but I havent tried.n Keep in mind that you cannot preview a .avi file, since the codec info is at the end of the file. If you try the media player will say it does not support this file type. So wait til you have downloaded the entire file to play this type.
