The Standells 5

Absolutely these guys should be inducted. It's not about one popular song; it's about their lasting influence in the industry and pop culture. What other groups out there are so closely associated with baseball, for example? How many groups already inducted cite the Standells as having influenced them? Guns 'n' Roses, etc? The only reason these guys didn't really hit huge is due to the fact their breakthrough album, Try It, was banned by a right wing zealot radio mogul who threatened his stations within an inch of their lives if they played this "indecent" record. He couldn't pick on the Stones because they were so huge, so he did the next best thing in his iddy biddy mind. Yes, these guys are fabulous and deserve it BIG TIME

Garage Bands have their place.  What about the Sydicate of Sound or the Swinging Medallions?
Yes, I liked "Dirty Water" and its B-side "Rari".  But HOF?  Unlikely.
