 | street surfer (0) 09/21/2008 | I bought my VIC V92C off of ebay, my first bike in 20 years. Ive had it for a couple of monthes and overall am happy with it. Lots of power, aftermarket Corbin seats, loud exhaust, etc. Like the looks. Only drawback is it is so #$*@ hard to get parts for it. Polaris decided to stop making parts for its bikes it made just several years ago. The dealership in my city also is lacking . Wish Victory would make a dual exhaust setup and lowering kit for the V92C's but am told they don't. I have some friends who own harleys and they look down there noses at VICs and all but the price and performance beat Har(d)leys hands down. Best of all is MADE in USA.

I unfortunately lost it on some sand recently while exiting the highway and have since had to replace it with a V92C. I've only had the V92C for a few weeks and am still adjusting things around but I already like it's handling better. Regarding Polaris -- the network may be a little thin but if you can get close they will take care of you. When I took my recent spill near Memphis, the dealer (FRS) drove 60 miles to pick up my cruiser, then took me to the hospital to diagnose my broken leg. He left his cell phone number with me and when I called him after midnight from the hospital he picked me up promptly and drove me to the hotel. Dealers are great and the bike is really sound and a good performer. I wouldn't have gotten a second one otherwise.

I almost bought a new Dyna Sport for 12k and then the ins. and taxes but i stumbled upon the Vic via a foreman and it came loaded ; HD saddlebags, windshield, low aftermarket pipes, sissy bar, aftermarket seat, new tires, fresh oil,hot chip,@ 4k mi. all for less than 1/2 the HD price. I understand the resales on Vics are low but it's about the ride. I don't plan on reselling it. The whole reselling thing about HD is because one has to add $2k in chrome /upgrades so they will move faster. My Suz RF900 also has a low resale value,it's a 1997 but stil will do 150 and 90 is walking speed for it. It's comfortable for a sport tourer and will carry a passenger as if she isn't there. If Victory had 50 yrs of history they'd be as big as HD. , but on the other hand they don't need valve adjustments. :) Also....the dealers are just as much thieves as HD.

swore to god i was never giving another dime to harley. stumble into a polaris dealership. three years and sixty thousand miles later the bike has been bulletproof.
comfortable as a couch. 80mph works out to about 3500rpm, have done 7-800 mile days.
there are a few drawbacks. she still backfires. and 40mpg on a good day. plus, the dealer network is really thin in the southwest.
still, i'm never going back to HD.
