Yes. Lennox is a fine singer. Stewart is overlooked most of the time. Right now he's working well with Ringo Starr. They had/have a distinctive sound and image.

They should be in there for the sole reason of their contribution to the new wave/rock/pop styles of the 80's. Annie Lennox is one of the best rock female vocalists of her generation and Dave Stewart is one of the greatest song writers of that era.

Well, they were so popular during the 1980s that one should not totally discount their prospects of actually getting in. However, it is fair to say that they did very little that can bec alled "special" or "significant" and even if their music today is not so unlistenable as many other mainstream artists from the 1980s, it is not easy for me to admit I once listened to this without realising how derivative it actually was.

Hey, they just made the UK Hall of Fame, isn't that enough. Now the Brits have two things: a Hall of Fame and bad teeth. Regrets. Not really.
