It's a great movie to watch anytime of the year.

would not consider this a Christmas movie. We have seen it a few times and usually watch it near Thanksgiving. Steve Martin and John Candy act well together as the "snob" and the "slob" I can relate to the frustration that must be felt when all you want to do is something simple as be home for Thanksgiving and all of the obstacles that came in between it. Funny movie.I like the very end in particular.how a friendship developes by the end of the movie.

This is the odd couple sthick, the prig and the slob, and it works well. I like Steve Martin playing the straight guy! My favorite line still is by John Candy noting after the car has been sideswiped, "That'll buff right out."
