Update: Wow...it looks like my prediction for Hansbrough was right on. He not only was an All American this year, but was POY as well. The Tarheels also look like the favorites right now to win the NCAA Championship.

2/5/2006 - Hansbrough is a good player right now, but will very shortly be a great player. He will win the ACC freshman of the year award, and is a future All American. UNC's freshman class is showing that they could very likely win another NCAA championship in 2 or 3 years.

Ive seen this kid play...his height is his best asset. because he is so big he is clumsy getting up and down the court. Being only a freshman means he is still young enough that he may get some coordination later. Plus he still has a lot to learn.

He is an astonishing "old school" basketball player. He is very hard to stop down low. He just pasted 2,000 career points. He gets into double digits for points and blocks each game. He is a juinor right now and he wil probably stay in college and then after his seinor year he will be a good addition to any NBA team.

He is one of the top players. He should be okay in the pros. Maybe. I do get tired of him getting thrown on the floor. I don't really like to watch him play. He is a very smart player to draw the fouls, but when you watch, it doesn't seem like the calls go both ways. That doesn't take anything away from him though.

Hansbrough is going to be the best college basketball player in the country this year (2007-2008). When the NBA draft comes in June, I don't think he will be the first guy chosen though. He should be a solid pro, but not a player for the ages. Hansbrough will be a better NBA player then his ex-teamate Brandon Wright who plays for Golden State.

He came in and filled Sean May's position beautifully. I'll always have a soft spot for Sean and everything he did for the team, but Tyler is a more than adequate replacement! He's got the size, the speed, and the know how to play a smart game. He knows how to draw a foul... and he can actually make the foul shots! He's only going to get better.

gets fouled everytime down the court... plays harder than anyone in the game...everyone on the team scores because they are open because people collapse on him.

He has a promising future. Roy Williams did a good job recruiting this guy. I'd take him over any Duke center. Why? just read my member name.

Nice size - height and weight - to be a very good college Power Foward. Game could use some work ,but that will come with time. A talent who we'll be hearing a lot about in the future. Duke better recruit some big guys to deal with him.

Look at this. A freshman from Carolina number one. And you DUKIES can only rave about JJ redick. I am not saying Duke is bad, but the heels have a future outstanding player. WATCH YOUR BACK, the heels have potential, especially with Tyler Hansbrough and there recruiting class.
