I did the bald thing for boot camp and I can tell you, the average human male of a military age looks like a lizard when you shave his head.

Bald is beautiful, baby. It's also convenient and cost effective. No muss, no fuss, no bother. I don't have to go to the barber or buy shampoo & conditioner either.
