12/03/2005 | Although I was an industrious kid,shoveling snow,raking leaves,washing cars etc. to make a little change-I am firmly against Child Labor.Child Labor is the exploitation of little children,usually the poorest ones,and often in unsafe conditions for long,grueling hours.It is illegal here in the U.S. but our current government has tacitly approved of its use by encouraging the sending of jobs overseas to places where this abominable practice still exists.This is one of the reasons I will NOT shop at places like Wall Mart- I do not wish to save money at the expense of the quality of life of little children or anyone living in a 3rd world country.
