Loved him alot, as Tommy DeVito, in the film Goodfellas, especially in the infamous baseball bat scene.
"You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little ***** up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to ***** amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?"

Where is he now? He was the vehicle for Martin Scorcese's mean strak for ten years and then showed some range in a series of comedy roles. I hope he's somewhere enjoying the fruits of his success.

No one, and I mean no one can play the maniacal, pyschotic, cold blooded killer better than Pesci. In terms of criminally insane gangster, he's definitely a five star.

Underrated, frequently dismissed as a one note actor, Pesci can alternate from a snarly but likeable humor to a chilling sociopath without missing much. His characters in GoodFellas and Casino alternate between sadistic and sociable in a thoroughly believable manner. He always makes the viewer aware of the fierce undercurrent of sudden violence in his characters.
