I suppose he would first have to find a cause on which he has been consistently in favor of or opposed to. Of course with Kerry's history that could prove quite difficult.

Well, it remains to be seen How Great but we've already witnessed the extreme INCOMPETENCE of the Bush administration.

Get the magnifying glass out, we're gonna really have to look closely here. Look at Senator Kerry's record and you will find very little leadership per se. Lots of votes, lots of compromises, lots of trade-offs, lots of nuance. Not much leadership. In the immortal words of John Kerry, What makes him think he could be president? UPDATE: Oh, wait, he said that about his Vice Presidential nominee, the guy he wants to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. UPDATE; daccory, are you asking me where you can put those 5 stars?

He would have to attend his commitee meetings and turn up for a vote here and there to be able to claim that.

if he was a great leader he would be running on his record as a senator. in his twenty years there he seems to be a very minor figure.

Oh, sure, yeah he might have some potential. Possibly as leader of a Boyscout troop, a group of anti-war protestors, a band, a parade, perhaps a union - but, based on the things he's done or has not done within the last 25 years, I just can't envision him as the leader of the free world.

A great leader in the eyes of feminists, liberal activist judges, the ACLU,PETA,NAACP,welfare recipients, uninformed minorities,Hollywood's elite,Gay rights and Gay marriage activists, but most of all, the U.N. and terrorists, they would love to see a diplomat in charge.Update:Ask the men he served with in vietnam what a great leader he was.Update:Kerry is more of a follower than a leader,he is Kennedy's yes-boy.
