 | GenghisTheHun (177) 09/04/2007 | I have always liked him, although about the only thing he and I can agree on is our mutual dislike for the Hanoverian Dynasty. He is witty, quick and often very wicked in his insights.

 | Loerke (51) 09/04/2007 | A very talented journalist with an earned arrogance about his own abilities. I love to see the right-wingers bow before him nowadays; just wait till he turns back on them again ... Hitchens is an eternal contrarian with little tolerance for any collective thinking whatsoever, especially when it comes to religions -- he's atheistic, Christophobic and Islamophobic. The guy even wrote a heartless exposé of Mother Teresa entitled The Missionary Position, earning him my eternal admiration. His only problem is that he's so convinced of his abilities that he remains stubbornly unwilling to confess mistakes. Time to come clean on Iraq, Mr. Hitchens ...

 | StanUzbeck (16) 06/02/2006 | Hitchens is extremely intelligent and insightful. I remember his appearance on The Daily Show where he pointed out that there really is no war between Islam and The West; it's nothing but a myth. What is actually going on is a kind of civil war within Islam that The West is being dragged into. I thought, Wow! This dude is really onto something! However, I find the man personally repugnant. He rates even higher than Bill Maher on the Smug-o-meter and he managed to talk extreme trash about Gandhi, one of my personal heroes. So screw Hitchens. I wish nothing but misery and misfortune for him and his children.
