 | Wavebacker (27) 01/25/2007 | Cosby is an intelligent and well thought out guy. I think he thinks he's smarter than he is, that is....He believes that his well thought out ideas are gospel and should be accepted as such because he spent a lot of time developing those ideals. That's cool, but flawed thinking. Cosby is great because he knows and understands the value of Education. His controversial comments about the Black Community are both polarizing and thought provoking. It's refreshing to hear such debate within this community though as most people would think that African-Americans all think alike.

 | callitdowntheline75 (69) 05/25/2006 | Bill Cosby is anything but a dim light. A very bright, articulate man, Cosby (among other things) uses comedy to universally emphasize the importance of pursuing an education (and a better future). Cosby isn't afraid to point out what is wrong with society when he sees it, whether in the African American community- or in any other community. Yes, the truth can sometimes hurt, but when some of today's parents would rather buy their kids (and themselves) Playstations instead of educational aids and tools which would only benefit themselves, it is irresponsible (and downright STUPID) as Cosby brilliantly points out. Bill Cosby is right, and he ought to be commended for his efforts instead of being condemned in a few circles. If anything, Bill Cosby's intelligence is not only relegated to his vast erudity- it is also contained in his unquestioned COMMON SENSE!

 | CanadaSucks (50) 05/25/2006 | The truth hurts like hell. . .it's sad to watch those who haven't paid Cosby's dues take shots at him. Yes, he's a grumpy old man- but that doesn't make him wrong. Values are misplaced, period- sorry some people don't like to hear that.

 | SZinHonshu (45) 12/20/2005 | He's got a graduate degree, and perhaps more importantly, he caused Michael Eric Dyson, the "hip-hop intellectual" professor from UPenn to spend over 200 pages trying to tear him down.
For that latter reason alone, he must have something on the ball upstairs.
Bill, like most Americans, I've enjoyed watching you on TV, but I was far more impressed by you when you cashed in that credibility and TV Q you spent your adult life amassing to speak a truth that a lot of people didn't want to hear. More power to you.
