I'm too uncoordinated for that. I'd probably break an ankle or something, and broken bones don't make for fun holidays. I still sort of wonder who the first person was who thought," I'm going to strap a couple of big knives to the bottom of my feet and go slide around on that frozen lake over there."

nothing better than watching your family members make fools of themselves. And playing IT on the ice, drinking mulled wine with mince pies.

There is no place to ice skate. I haven't done any skating since I was little.

Tried this once and have sworn off of it completely. I can't tie my skates tight enough to support my weak ankles, and I don't feel like freezing to death just for the "enjoyment" of it. My friend's do this every year, they don't have to ask me because they know what my answer will be. On a side-note: We can do this anytime of the year if we so choose. Living in Florida, we have ice hockey arenas for this :-) Sad, but true haha
