 | oscargamblesfro (76) 02/02/2006 | Yes, Kerry is probably even richer. There are extremely wealthy people of all political parties, and even people unaffiliated with any party. The log cabin days are over for The Presidency, I'm afraid. I don't think he ONLY cares about the super rich, but I do feel he is heavily biased towards them. Who has more pull, let's be real- a guy who looks like the Monopoly Guy or the figure on a jar of Planter's Peanuts- or a blue collar union guy in New York or Boston, or a minimum wage Walmart worker in the South? Or the guy who works his ass off in California, trying to feed his family? The guy who came to this land, or his parents or ancestors did, hoping to better himself- only to face bigotry or condescension. I find it highly amusing and hypocritical too, that, while there are indeed people who sneak into the country- and shouldn't, there is such hostility, often by the descendants of immigrants themselves- towards the fundamentally decent immigrants who have come here in the hopes of finding the American Dream, not the reality, the dream. Maybe it's in large part due to racial and cultural differences, ya think? Excuse me, but my paternal ancestors were starved and oppressed out of their homeland, and persecuted for their religion- and I will NEVER EVER forget that, nor treat others in such a fashion reminiscent of that era. But I digress. The ordinary Americans of all races and creeds or the top 2%, whose needs are attended to more? Now, it's always been that way regardless of who's in power, but the middle class is eroding, taxes favor the wealthiest, jobs are going overseas, and the corporations are doing a horrible, and in my mind immoral, thing by not only cutting jobs here, they are exploiting workers overseas by paying them a pittance and thriving on discord, resentment, and envy that results here and no one can convince me that this administration isn't trying to present some sort of class-free atmosphere. The false idea of Bush as some kind of working hard, ordinary, aw shucks, baseball lovin' fellow to clear stuff up on his ranch, is particularly annoying. You can like him, you can loathe him, you can be somewhere in between but this guy isn't Jack Armstrong, All-American kid. This ain't Huck Finn, this is no Horatio Alger tale here folks- take a look at his background or family tree- this is a member in full standing of the blueblood power elite of this land, who've controlled this country since it began.

 | SamTheMan (3) 11/09/2005 | Oh my God! I can't believe this answer. Remember when they tried to get Kerry and his wife to release their tax returns? We found out afterwards that their net worth wasn't $700 Million like the news media was reporting but over a Billion dollars... the richest man to ever run for President.
There really are a lot of people in this world that don't realize the difference between a Million and a Billion. Kerry wealth overshadowed Bush and Cheney many times over.
Just think about this for a little while... you have a Billionaire that has convinced a group of middle class and lower middle class people that a "Millionaire" is the one to hate because he is so much richer than they are.
That's why he's a billionaire even if he has to marry into it. Selling ice to the Eskimos.
Then we have even a richer Billionaire, Soros, that runs the DNC through MoveOnDotOrg. And his Billionaire friend, Peter Lewis, that funds the other part of MoveOnDotOrg.
Now get this... you know Lewis much better than you think. He is the one that created the term "Hostile Takeover" and the first to implement it. He is the Godfather of Hostile Takeovers. This is where you use a smaller than normal amount of money to take over a larger company. You then make it "sellable" by making it 'lean and mean.' You do this by firing many of the employees. Lewis has done this over and over until corporations have made protections against hostile takeovers.
And you can kid yourself all day long that these people that get fired are the rich but nope, it is the middle class and that is the reason Lewis is a Billionaire instead of a lowly Millionaire.
It is really a shame that the left has bought into hype... basing their beliefs on lies. Proof means nothing anymore to them... their belief means everything to them whether true or not.
We watch all the time how Jessie Jackson manipulates his constituents playing the race card as often as possible. And the rest of you sit there thinking that you are not being played like a fiddle too.
It's simply amazing!
Rich Bush.

 | Jar-Jar Binks (16) 04/23/2005 | That's right. Why do billionaires get huge chunks of tax cuts while the poor and middle classes have to pay for it?

 | cutegurl (15) 04/19/2005 | Oh, please, give me a break. My father has benefited from President Bush's middle class and small business tax breaks than any other man's tax proposals. This is a lame arguement against our president.

 | lucasboy (1) 01/24/2005 | Bush doesn't give a damn about the average person. His tax cuts did nothing for the working class. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I got my whopper of a tax refund. A meal at Mcdonalds wiped that refund out.

 | ledzep44 (2) 01/23/2005 | Geroge W. Bush only cares about billionaires. 100% true, if he TAX CUT the 95% richest people in America, who are like Donald Trump rich people. How many people do you know who are about as rich as Donald Trump. None, wow, thats the exact same amount of people as I know who have that much money, YET HE CUTS THERE TAXES! What an idiot.

 | Anonymous (1) 10/06/2004 | Bush's like for the extremely wealthy is proved better than anything by his outrageous tax cuts for the rich. Also notice how almost every wealthy corporation owner is backing Bush for president and how many have contributed large amounts to his campaign. Look at Cheney's close connnection with Halliburton and why the U. S. went into Iraq. Most of the rich support Bush because they want a friend in the White House who will always do their bidding.
