I don't mind knowing what's gonna happen if it feels like a natural or logic progession of the story. But when it's the result of some awful and contrived plot device or your typical out of character nonsense then I want to punch the scriptwriter right in the face. This happens a lot in horror movies, like when some girl is inside her house and some nasty alien / serial killer is trying to force the door and you know she will go "Mike, is that you?". But of course it's him! He always tries to get in kicking the door like that... Come on! :)

By and large this is why I only take in 4 or 5 movies a year now.

Yes, every idea, cliche, etc gets RE-used a lot.

Ok, we have the young, bright, oh so good-looking agent, and the bad old CIA. How will that come out? Or we have a bad corporation and the perky sweet young thing fresh out of law-school. Hmmm! Who will win this encounter? Literacy tests for Hollywood producers would be a step towards improvement.

I hate predictable movies. I want there to be a surprise ending; something to shock me. It's just boring, if I already know what's going to happen next.
