I think that he is bright enough, but he is out of luck this year with Hillary and Barack Obama in the hunt.

He stated his daddy worked in a textile mill. He was able to pull off his faux blue collar origins until the researchers found out that his daddy RAN the textile mill!

I think the guy is quite intelligent but a lousey politician, ie could not even win his own state in the last election. I hope he doesn't run again, but finds another national office he can be effective in as he does have some important stuff to say, just not as Prez or VP!
