 | RollerBlade (0) 02/27/2008 | Used Home Gym 1000. Its light but does what it is supposed to do. The bed rollers did fail however I found an after market source for replacement parts. This machine is inexpensive, easy to store and most importantly does what you want it to do without all the bells and whistles that increase the price while never used. At a price of around $100 and some self-discipline you can't go wrong.

I have the total gym supra that i pick up used, dusty yet like new, the level of the total gym 1700. After all lifting weights is all about fighting gravity, with this i can play with it. I totaly had proven the positive effects of this.. bunny hops on my bike flicked higher with more of a natural flow..

 | Djahuti (54) 12/05/2005 | I have one of these and it is pretty well designed and "user friendly".The pluses are that you can get a decent, total body workout in about 20 minutes, and fold it up if you need the room for something else. The minuses are:1)Even though it folds up,you will need a fairly large space (at least the size of a queen size bed)to use it. 2)It uses your bodyweight as the resistance, and if you are already pretty strong, the max of 80% of your weight will not be enough in certain exercises to build any more muscle. 3)There is some danger of cable breakage and you need to inspect the machine regularly for loose screws or frayed cables to avoid injury. 4)It can be a bit unwieldly when you go to fold it up until you get the hang of it. All in all,It is a good piece of equipment for staying toned, and I tend to use it more for variety in my routine, combined with free weights and several other things.
