 | Djahuti (54) 12/15/2005 | These are most likely of use only to very serious lifters into getting huge.First and foremost no one should be squatting heavy without a spotter: and this I learned the hard way in my teens.However,if you are a bodybuilder,powerlifter or other strength-trainer,and have a workout partner or someone to spot you-a squat rack will be a good investment for your home gym.Otherwise,you will need to go to the gym or use other "safety" equipment to really max out on squats.Squats produce phenomenal gains,but must be executed with strict attention to form,and a proper fitting belt may be a very good idea too.Watch out,though,if you have any lower back or knee problems.There are plenty of good machines to work the quads more safely if you do.
