Faye Dunaway was uncanny as Joan Crawford. At times I forgot it wasn't Joan!

The script is tortured and the acting is over the top but I admire Faye Dunaway for jumping into this thing with both feet. Diana Scarwid (always fun to watch) is great as the abused daughter also. Bottom line is that it's a pretty entertaining movie.
