Almost certainly the best "real life" movies you will ever see. It evolves into a dramatic comedy that grips the imagination and leaves the viewer in awe. Al Pacino is unbelievable and this is truely one of his best performances. It is also worth looking up the true sonny wortzik called john wojtowicz. His version of events (written for the NY Times but never published) differs slightly and reveals his unique character. I also belive that he has remade the film named "based on a true story" (2005). Although i doubt the quality of the film or enjoyment factor will match "Dog Day" I will certainly investigate it myself.
