If you're at all into the Beat writers, this is a must stop during your visit. It's central location in the heart of North Beach makes it easy, too. Check it out, buy a book, grab a nice Italian meal, and then hit the North Beach bars.

Its a decent, if not great bookstore, and its worth a visit for anyone interested in the Beat movement or the era of Ferlinghetti, Ginsberg et al.
